Angry At Our Elected Officials?

It would have taken intelligence and integrity to vote against CAN-SPAM.  Which is precisely why almost no one did vote against it.  Our elected officials sold us out.

Maybe they don’t realize how bad the spam problem actually is, and that this wonderful piece of legislation actually legitimizes spam.

Most senators and congresspersons have web forms to contact them, but here’s the list of all the real email addresses I could find at www.house.gov and www.senate.gov.  In some cases, when I couldn’t find the Senator’s/Congressperson’s email, I included the email for their webmaster.  Unfortunately, there isn’t a standard format, so it would be impossible to guess the emails for those individuals that do use webforms.

If you wanted to write to them and complain and perhaps try to educate them, you might find this list of email addresses helpful.

Of course, I couldn’t possibly recommend giving them a taste of the problem they created by copying & pasting this list and forwarding all of your spam to them… and perhaps putting president@whitehouse.gov as the sender…
